Terms of Service

By accessing or using mdkit.io (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

mdkit provides a browser-based Markdown editor, document converters and utilities, a library of Markdown templates, and editorial content. Document text entered into supported tools is processed locally in your browser. Ordinary hosting, security, optional analytics, and contact-message processing are described in our Privacy Policy.

We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You retain all rights to any Markdown, HTML, PDF, or other content you create, paste, or convert using the Service (“Your Content”). mdkit does not intentionally receive or store document content entered into supported browser tools.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring that you have the rights necessary to use it with the Service.

Original Markdown templates published by mdkit may be copied, modified, and used in personal or commercial projects without attribution. This permission does not apply to third-party names, trademarks, links, or example material that may appear in a template.

Blog posts, guides, and other editorial content on mdkit.io are © the mdkit Team. You may quote short excerpts with attribution, but please do not reproduce full articles without permission. Email contact@mdkit.io for licensing.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or degrade the Service or the servers or networks connected to it.
• Use automated systems (scrapers, bots) to extract content at volumes that burden our infrastructure.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with mdkit or the mdkit Team.
• Remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

mdkit uses consent-based Google Analytics as described in our Privacy Policy. mdkit does not currently display advertising. If advertising is introduced, the Privacy Policy and applicable consent controls will be updated before advertising technology is enabled.

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms, or privacy practices.

Converters, generators, templates, and editorial examples are starting points. Rendering differs among Markdown processors, and converted output may omit or alter unsupported formatting. Review important output before publishing, submitting, or relying on it, especially for legal, financial, academic, accessibility, or security-sensitive work.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. mdkit does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce specific results.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall mdkit, its contributors, or the mdkit Team be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of data, profits, or goodwill) arising from or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, in which case the above may not apply to you to the fullest extent.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

We may suspend or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
